About Gogi Signs

Sintra PVC Sign Printing and Routing Under One Roof

Every other panel in our range is something you print. PVC is something you print and cut — and on most PVC jobs the cutting is what the customer actually notices. A letter routed with a crisp square edge looks machined. The same letter cut badly looks homemade, and no amount of print quality rescues it.

That is why we do not send PVC out. It is printed on our flatbed press and routed on our own CNC, in the same building, by people who see both halves of the job. A panel that starts flat can gain cut letters on top the same week rather than becoming a second purchase order and a two-week wait.

Gogi Signs has been making signage for New Jersey businesses since 2005 — offices, restaurants, medical practices, schools and the general contractors fitting them out. More of that work leaves here on PVC than on any other panel.

Applications

PVC Signs for One Room or a Whole Building

Most PVC orders are not one sign. They are a set — a floor, a department, a building — and the panels have to look like they were made together, because they were.

sintra signs price list purpose

Directories & Wayfinding

Building directories, floor and department markers, directional panels and room numbering. We produce a whole scheme as one matched set so a building reads consistently rather than looking assembled over five years. See directory signage.

Menu Boards & Price Panels

Restaurant menus, counter boards, service lists and price panels. The matte face does not glare under downlights, and it wipes clean — which a paper-faced board never survives.

Office & Room Identification

Door signs, suite plates, department markers and conference room panels. Pairs with name plates and ADA signage where code applies.

Cut Letters & Logo Shapes

Individual letters, logo profiles and layered panels routed from sheet. This is the job PVC does better than any other flat panel we print. See plastic letters.

Retail & Promotional Panels

Window signage, shelf and aisle panels, seasonal promotions and counter displays. Sturdy enough to go up and come down each quarter without curling at the corners.

Covered Exterior & Entryways

Under canopies, soffits, covered walkways, parking structures and vestibules. PVC handles shade and damp comfortably — it is direct unshaded sun on a big panel that we would move you off it for.

The basics

What Is PVC Sign Board?

PVC sign board is expanded PVC, a rigid and lightweight plastic sheet with a smooth, matte finish. Made from solid plastic throughout, it is moisture-resistant, rot-proof, rust-free, and resistant to delamination, making it suitable for indoor signs and covered outdoor displays. Its even surface produces sharp, consistent printing, while the sheet can be routed, engraved, or cut into clean edges, shapes, and lettering.

PVC sign board may be sold under brand names such as Sintra, Komatex, and Celtec. These names refer to brands of expanded PVC rather than different sign board materials. PVC sign board is often confused with traditional foam board, but the two materials have different constructions. Foam board typically has a polystyrene core with paper or coated faces, so it is lighter and less expensive but more vulnerable to moisture, dents, and long-term wear. For durable signage that needs to outperform temporary foam board, PVC sign board is usually the more reliable choice.

Why order from us

Why a Router Matters When You Are Buying PVC

Most suppliers who sell PVC signs only print them. That is fine until the job needs a letter, a shape or a second panel raised off the first — and then it goes out to somebody else, at their price and their timescale.

We Rout as Well as Print

Laser and CNC sit alongside the press here, so cut letters, logo shapes and layered builds are part of the same job rather than a separate order.

One Set, One Schedule

Directory, floor markers, room signs and door plates produced together and finished together, so the whole scheme arrives on one date.

Fitted by Our Own Crews

Spacing and alignment are most of the job on wayfinding and cut letters. Our installers do it with a template rather than by eye. See graphics installation.

Certificates of Insurance Handled

Where a building or property manager requires a COI before we can work on site, we process it as part of the job.

Artwork Built For You

No print-ready file is not a problem. Our design team sets it up and you approve a proof at actual size before we cut anything.

We Say When PVC Is the Wrong Panel

Large panels in full unshaded sun belong on Dibond. We will split the scheme rather than sell you the wrong material for the exterior half.

Printing

Print, Colour and Cut Options

PVC board printing and routing are handled in-house, so the panel and any letters or cut pieces can be made from the same sheet. That keeps the colour and finish consistent across the finished sign.

Specifications

Rigid Sign Sizes and Custom Shapes We Cut

We cut every panel to order on our own laser and CNC rather than selling you a fixed size list.

3mm
Flat printed panels, lightweight wall signage, window and shelf panels. The economical choice where the sign is simply a printed face.
6mm
Our everyday thickness. Directories, menu boards, room identification and wayfinding sets — rigid enough to stand alone on a wall without waving.
10mm–19mm
Cut letters, layered builds and anything where the visible edge is part of the design. At this thickness the edge reads as a deliberate depth rather than a cut line.
Sizes
Cut to any dimension up to 48″ × 96″ from a single sheet, with no setup charge. Larger runs of matched panels are produced together so the batch is consistent.
Cut letters and shapes
Routed to your typeface or logo profile, in any thickness from 3mm up. Letters and backer cut from the same sheet so colour and finish match exactly.
Colours
White as standard, plus coloured sheet where you want the colour through the full thickness rather than printed on the face.
Edge finish
Routed square as standard, or radiused and eased where a panel gets handled. PVC holds a clean edge without polishing.
Quantities
No minimum. One room sign through to a full building scheme, with price per sign falling as the set grows.

Installation

Mounting and Installing PVC Signage

Hardware ships with the order, and cut-letter jobs come with a spacing template so the wall gets marked once.

Comparison

PVC Signs Compared With Other Rigid Panels

PVC covers more ground than anything else we print. It is also the panel people most often specify one step too far.

Where PVC Beats the Alternatives

Nothing else in the range cuts into letters this cleanly at this price. Acrylic looks more premium but costs more and cannot be routed as freely; foam board is cheaper but will not last a year on a wall. For interior signage that has to look finished and stay up, PVC is usually the answer.

Where We Would Move You Off PVC

Large panels in full unshaded sun. PVC expands with heat, and a big unsupported sheet can bow over a summer. For permanent exterior work we specify Dibond, and for anything staked in the ground coroplast.

FAQs

PVC & Sintra Signs — Frequently Asked Questions

PVC signs are printed on expanded PVC — a closed-cell plastic sheet that is rigid, light and has a smooth matte face. The finish reads as a painted panel rather than a printed board, which is why PVC plastic signs are the standard for interior directories, menu boards, office identification and wayfinding sets.

Yes. Sintra is a brand name for expanded PVC, made by 3A Composites — the same way Coroplast is a brand name for corrugated plastic. Komatex and Celtec are other brands of the same sheet. Order custom Sintra signs or PVC signs from us and you get the same panel.

No. PVC sign board is solid plastic throughout and lasts years indoors or under cover. Foam board is a polystyrene core with paper faces — much lighter, much cheaper, and ruined once it gets wet. The confusion comes from expanded PVC sometimes being sold as "PVC foam board".

Under cover, yes — entryways, canopies, soffits, covered walkways and parking structures. In full unshaded sun and weather a large panel can bow over time, so for permanent exterior signage we would specify Dibond instead.

We stock 3mm through 19mm. 3mm suits flat printed panels and lightweight wall signage. 6mm is the everyday choice for directories, menu boards and room identification. 10mm and above are for cut letters, layered builds and anything where the visible edge is part of the design.

Yes, and it is what PVC does better than any other flat panel we print. It routs with a crisp square edge, so individual letters, logo shapes, layered panels and internal cut-outs all come off our CNC. Letters and their backer can be cut from the same sheet so colour and finish match exactly. See plastic letters.

Several years indoors or under cover. PVC does not absorb water, rot or delaminate, and it holds its shape. Outdoors the limit is UV and heat on large unshaded panels rather than the material itself failing.

Thin panels go up with VHB tape, silicone or direct screw fixing. Thicker panels and cut letters use standoff barrels, stud mounting with spacers, or a spacing template for letter-by-letter installation. We supply the hardware and the template with every order.

No. We produce a single room sign and a full building wayfinding set on the same equipment. Your price per sign falls as the quantity increases, and matched sets price better than the same panels ordered one at a time.

Yes. We produce in Linden, Union County, and deliver across New Jersey and the wider tri-state area including New York City. Our own crews handle installation — which matters on wayfinding sets and cut letters, where spacing and alignment are the whole job.

PVC Signs Across New Jersey and NYC

We print and rout every panel in Linden, Union County, and deliver or install across the tri-state area.

PVC and Sintra signage goes out to office fit-outs, restaurants, medical practices, schools and retail units across the state. Whole wayfinding schemes are produced together and installed by our crews, so a building gets one consistent set on one date rather than a panel at a time.

Looking for PVC signs near me is usually how this starts — and being twenty minutes away means we can come and measure before quoting rather than working from your sketch.
