Wall Pan Signs

Wall Pan Signs With Clean Formed Edges for New Jersey Buildings

Flat faced aluminum signs with the edges formed back to the wall, so each one reads as a single solid piece with no screws in view. We form, paint and install pan signs for room names, building IDs and logos in offices, schools and apartment buildings across New Jersey. We also install in the five boroughs; see our NYC service area.

What a Pan Sign Is

A Flat Sign That Looks Solid From Every Angle

A pan sign is a flat face with its edges bent back toward the wall, like a shallow tray turned face out. The return hides the edge and the hardware, so the sign looks finished from the front and the side.

That makes pan signs a clean choice for room names, building IDs at the entrance, arrows in a hallway and the logo behind reception. The face takes paint, digital print or cut vinyl, and the returns can match the face or pick up a brand color.

Want a panel that floats off the wall on visible caps instead? See our standoff signs.

AluminumLight, rust free and easy to paint.
Stainless steelBrushed or painted for lobbies.
AcrylicA glossy face in almost any color.
Composite panelAluminum faced, for larger signs.
Side Profile

What You Do Not See Is What Makes It Clean

From the front you see one clean face. This is what we build behind it.

  • Face: the flat front with your logo, room name or address.
  • Return: the edge formed back toward the wall, in the face color or a contrast color.
  • Lip: a short flange folded in at the back that stiffens the edge and sits flat on the wall.
  • Hidden mount: a bar and fasteners behind the face, matched to drywall, brick, block or tile.

Our own crew hangs every sign we build, so the mount on your proof is the mount that goes on the wall. See sign installation.

FAQs

Wall Pan Sign Questions

What New Jersey property managers, schools and offices ask before ordering pan signs.

What is a wall pan sign?

A wall pan sign is a flat face with its edges bent back toward the wall. The formed return hides the edge and the mounting, so the sign looks like one solid piece.

What are pan signs made of?

Most are aluminum. We also make them in stainless steel, and use acrylic or composite panel for some faces.

How are pan signs mounted?

With a hidden bar and fasteners behind the face, so no screws show on the front. We match the anchors to drywall, brick, block or tile.

Can the returns be a different color?

Yes. Returns can match the face or run in a contrast or brand color.

Can pan signs go outside?

Yes. Painted aluminum pan signs work at building entrances. We pick the paint and hardware for the exposure.

Can you add raised letters and braille?

Yes. Room pan signs can carry raised letters and Grade 2 braille to meet the 2010 ADA Standards.

How much does a wall pan sign cost?

It depends on the size, the return depth, the finish, the graphics and the install. Send a photo of the wall and your artwork and we will price it.

Do you install pan signs in New York City?

Yes, in all five boroughs. See our NYC service area.
