Why Wrap

A New Look for Your Doors Without Replacing Them

Elevator doors and cabs are costly to replace and slow to refinish. A wrap goes right over what is there.

  • Printed vinyl goes over steel and painted doors, in any color, photo or pattern.
  • A clear laminate on top stands up to carts, bags and daily cleaning.
  • New tenant, new season or an event downstairs: we print new panels and the doors stay as they are.
  • We print the same artwork for every floor, so each elevator lobby matches.

The same film wraps stair doors, office doors and classroom doors. It is the work we do on wall wraps, sized to a door.

What We Wrap on an Elevator Door

  1. 1
Door Panels WrappedOne printed panel per door, sized to the door face.
  2. 2
Center Seam WrappedThe artwork lines up across the seam, so it reads as one image when the doors close.
  3. 3
Door Edges TrimmedFilm is trimmed back at the edges so the doors open and close as before.
  4. 4
Frame and Jamb OptionalThe steel frame can match the doors or stay bare.
  5. 5
Clear Laminate WrappedProtects the print from carts, bags, hands and cleaning.
  6. 6
Buttons and Indicators Kept clearCall buttons, floor indicators and required signs stay uncovered.
  7. 7
Lobby Wall OptionalA wall wrap or wall decals that tie the elevator bank together.

Every elevator bank is different. We measure the doors, frames and buttons on a site survey before we print.

Print and Finish

Custom Elevator Wraps Printed in New Jersey

A wrap is only as good as the print and the film under it.

We print your artwork in full color in our Linden shop, then laminate it. Pick a gloss or matte finish, a solid color film, or a lighter touch with cut vinyl lettering on bare steel.

Send your logo and an idea, and our sign design team lays out the artwork to your door sizes, with the seam, buttons and frames marked on the proof.

FAQs

Elevator Wrap Questions

Straight answers to what New Jersey building managers ask before they wrap elevator doors.

What is an elevator wrap?

Printed vinyl film applied over elevator doors, frames or cab walls. It changes the look of the elevator without replacing or repainting anything.

Will the doors still open and close normally?

Yes. We trim the film back at the door edges so nothing rubs or catches, and we keep call buttons and floor indicators clear.

Will the wrap damage our elevator doors?

We use removable film, so it can come off when you want a change. On old, peeling or damaged paint, we check the surface first and tell you what to expect.

Can you wrap the inside of the cab?

Yes. We wrap cab walls and the inside of the doors. We look at the cab first, because panels, rails and vents change how the wrap is laid out.

How long can an elevator wrap stay up?

As long as you need. A few days for an event or years for a permanent look. Tell us the plan and we pick the film and laminate for it.

Do we need approval from the building or the elevator company?

Your building manager decides. Some buildings also ask their elevator company to sign off. We work with them on timing, access and any paperwork they need.

Can you install after hours?

Yes. We can plan evening or weekend installs, one car at a time, so the building keeps running.

How much does an elevator wrap cost?

It depends on how many doors, the door size, the artwork, the film and the install hours. Send door photos and rough sizes for a price.

Do you install elevator wraps in New York City?

Yes. We print elevator and door wraps in Linden and install them across all five boroughs. See our NYC service area.
