Sign Industry Jobs at Gogi Signs

Since 2005, Gogi Signs has made visual graphics and custom signs for small and large organizations, including universities, hotels, retailers and health care centers.

Who We Hire

A sign shop runs on a few kinds of work. When we have an opening, it is usually in one of these roles:

  • Sign installers mount signs, letters and panels at storefronts, offices and job sites.
  • Vinyl graphics installers apply window graphics, wall wraps and vehicle wraps.
  • Fabricators cut, route and assemble signs on our shop floor.
  • Graphic designers prepare layouts, proofs and print-ready files.
  • Print production staff run the large-format printers, laminate and finish the work.

What Each Role Involves

Here is what the day to day work looks like in each of those roles.

Installation. Installers work from ladders, scaffolds and lifts, drill into brick, block, glass and metal, and set letters and panels to the drawings the town approved. Most of the work is outdoors, in every season.

Vinyl graphics. Graphics installers clean and prepare the surface, then apply printed and cut vinyl to windows, walls and vehicles without bubbles or stretched lettering. Vehicle work means working around door handles, rivets and body lines.

Fabrication. Fabricators turn a drawing into a finished sign: routing letters on a CNC table, cutting acrylic and aluminum, wiring LEDs into channel letters and light boxes, and painting faces and returns.

Design. Designers turn a logo and a wall measurement into a layout that reads at the right distance, then prepare the proofs customers approve and the production files the shop builds from.

Print production. Production staff run the large format printers, laminate prints that will live outdoors, and trim and mount them onto panels for the install crew.

Where You Would Work

Our shop is at 7 W Baltimore Ave, Suite B, Linden, NJ 07036. Design, printing and fabrication happen here. Install crews travel from Linden to job sites across New Jersey and New York City. The shop is in Union County, about a mile off Exit 13 of the New Jersey Turnpike, so it is an easy drive from Newark, Elizabeth, Rahway and Staten Island.

To apply, fill out the application form below. You can also email your resume to info@gogisigns.com with the role you want in the subject line, or call us at 908-486-7000. Not every role is open all year, so tell us which kind of work you are looking for.

What to Include When You Apply

Experience in a related trade carries over. Carpenters, electricians, painters, print shop workers and auto body technicians already know much of what a sign shop needs, so mention that experience in your application.

  • The role you want and when you can start.
  • The tools and equipment you have used, such as lifts, routers, plotters, wide format printers or design software.
  • For design roles, a few samples of your work or a link to your portfolio.
  • For install roles, photos of signs or graphics you have put up, if you have them.
  • Whether you have a driver’s license, since install work means driving to job sites.
  • Any certifications you hold, such as OSHA safety training, a lift or forklift operator card, or an electrical license.
  • For install roles, whether you are comfortable working at height on ladders and lifts.
  • The best way and time to reach you.
