Dibond signs are constructed of two 0.012” thick aluminum sheets attached to a core made of solid polyethylene. These aluminum composite signs are stronger and less flexible than regular aluminum signs, making them fit for any outdoor or indoor sign, capable of withstanding the elements for a long lasting display. They are also about half the weight of pure aluminum sheeting.
The brushed aluminum of dibond provides a smooth, non-porous, and luminous surface. When graphics are printed directly onto the dibond, this luminosity gives the colors clarity and vibrancy. Contour Cut Dibond Signs – Each sign is cut to the needed size and shape with an automated process on a CNC-router. This technology uses a computer to transmit the required design to a programmed router which trims the metal accordingly. A router leaves non-sharp edges.
Printed Dibond Signs – Any graphic can be printed onto one or both sides of a dibond sign with digital printing. Graphics are rendered with UV inks that provide a range of colors and defined gradients for photograph printing. The inks are fade resistant to last as long as the dibond.
Custom Pantone Matched Colors – To match a specific color used in your business logo or design, Pantone color matching locates the correct color code for printing.
CNC Router Drilled Holes For Installation – Dibond signs are often wall-mounted or pole mounted. Using a CNC router, holes are drilled into the appropriate places for installation. These signs are also light enough that smaller ones can be fixed to a wall with adhesive backing or Velcro.
Finishing Options – Dibond has options for matte and glossy finishes, including a brushed aluminum on signs where the metal is part of the final design. It is also possible to laminate signs with a reflective coating for use outdoors at night.
