Local Sign Service
— Sign Company in Westfield
Westfield combines a strong traditional downtown with restaurants, retailers, professional offices, healthcare, wellness businesses, and commercial properties along North Avenue, South Avenue, Central Avenue, and surrounding business districts.
That mix makes storefront appearance, building architecture, pedestrian visibility, and sign placement especially important. Businesses may need coordinated storefront signs, projecting signs, awnings, window graphics, office identification, directories, and ADA signage.
Since 2005, our New Jersey team has handled storefront signs, dimensional lettering, channel letters where permitted, custom awnings, projecting signs, window graphics, office signage, directories, ADA signs, vehicle graphics, tenant changes, and ongoing commercial sign work.
— Downtown Westfield
Downtown Westfield is managed as a Special Improvement District by the Downtown Westfield Corporation, which has operated since 1993. Westfield is also a nationally designated Main Street Community.
The district includes more than 300 retail, dining, health, wellness, and professional establishments, making storefront signage especially important.
Customers may approach from sidewalks, parking, the train station, major avenues, neighboring businesses, and downtown events.
The primary sign should identify the business quickly without overpowering the storefront, with windows, awnings, projecting signs, and doors carrying supporting information.

— How It Works
01
Site Survey
We measure the storefront, office, commercial building, or interior area and document existing signs, windows, awnings, brackets, entrances, and mounting conditions.
02
Design and Planning
Artwork is fitted to the actual tenant frontage, available sign area, architecture, construction, customer approach, and Westfield requirements.
03
Fabrication and Printing
Approved projects move through fabrication, cutting, large-format printing, vinyl production, finishing, and electrical assembly where applicable.
04
Installation
Our insured installation crew coordinates site access, removes existing signage where included, and installs the completed signs and graphics.
05
Ongoing Service
When a tenant changes, sign lighting needs repair, window graphics need replacement, or an awning needs new fabric, we can return to the property.
— Sign Rules & Approvals
The numbers that decide what can be built on a Westfield storefront.
Tenant frontage is the number that drives the design, so we measure it before drawing anything. The application is filed by you or your landlord. We assist with permits; we do not file them on your behalf — and the exact address comes before production.
— Projecting Signs
Westfield permits projecting signs for qualifying ground-floor nonresidential businesses, generally one on each building wall containing a public entrance to the business.
The sign may be up to six square feet, must provide at least eight feet of clearance above grade, and may project no more than four feet from the building. It also cannot extend more than two-thirds of the adjacent sidewalk width.
That makes projecting signs useful for restaurants, cafés, boutiques, salons, specialty retail, professional services and ground-floor offices.
For a pedestrian approaching along the block, a projecting sign may become visible before the wall sign does. The graphic should therefore stay simple — a business name, monogram or recognizable logo usually works better than several lines of text.

— Tenant Changeover
What you may inherit
What the changeover covers
One rule drives the timing. Westfield requires signs identifying a business to be removed when that occupancy or use terminates — so the old sign comes down rather than staying up beside the new one.
— Repair & Refacing
Westfield has a large inventory of established storefront and commercial signage. Over time lighting fails, letters loosen, paint fades, vinyl wears, awning fabric ages, brackets deteriorate, tenant names change and directory listings become outdated.
Gogi Signs repairs and updates commercial signs even when another company originally fabricated them. Common service work includes:
