Gator Foam for Rigid Indoor Signs and Displays

GATORFOAM is a high-performance foam board made from an extruded polystyrene foam core bonded between wood-fiber veneer facers. It is significantly more rigid and dent resistant than standard paper-faced foam board while remaining much lighter than solid plastic or wood panels.

— Overview

What Is Gator Foam?

GATORFOAM combines a lightweight foam core with tough wood-fiber veneer faces to create a very rigid display board.

The board was developed for graphic arts and display work where standard foam board is too easy to dent or flex. White-faced grades can be printed directly, while the rigid surface also works well for mounted graphics and fabricated display pieces.

Mounted Graphics Photos, posters, presentation graphics, and display prints mounted to a stiff backer.
Retail & POP Rigid promotional displays, price signs, and branded graphics.
Exhibits & Events Display panels that need low weight with more stiffness than basic foam board.
Dimensional Display Work Thicker sheets can be routed or cut for letters, shapes, and exhibit components.

Gator Foam Thickness Options

GATORFOAM is available in a much wider thickness range than typical presentation foam board. U.S. product data lists gauges from 3/16 inch through 3 inches.

3/16"
Thin Rigid Display Panel
Useful for printed graphics and mounted displays where low weight matters.
Stiffer and tougher than standard paper-faced foam board at a similar thickness.
1/2–1"
Thicker Display Board
Adds stiffness and visible edge depth for exhibits, displays, and mounted graphics.
Useful when the board itself is part of the visual presentation.
1-1/2–3"
Deep Foam-Core Panel
Large edge depth for dimensional display pieces and specialty fabrication.
Cutting and routing methods need to suit the facer and foam thickness.
