Sign Company in Union
Union Township combines a traditional downtown, neighborhood retail, professional offices, medical practices, restaurants, mixed-use properties, shopping centers, commercial corridors, and larger business sites around Morris Avenue, Stuyvesant Avenue, Route 22, Route 82, and surrounding areas.
That creates several different sign environments within one township. A downtown storefront needs signage that works at pedestrian distance and fits its neighbors. A Route 22 commercial property needs stronger roadside visibility. A professional or medical office needs directories, suite signs, privacy film, ADA signage and interior wayfinding once customers are inside.
Since 2005, our New Jersey team has handled storefront signs, channel letters, dimensional lettering, projecting signs, custom awnings, window graphics, office signs, directories, ADA signage, vehicle graphics, tenant changes and recurring commercial sign work, from a shop minutes away in Linden.
Two Sign Environments
The ordinance separates several commercial environments, mixed-use districts, Downtown Core and Downtown Transition, CC and C/I, OSR and other commercial zones. The sign that works downtown is not the sign that works on Route 22.

Downtown Storefronts
Downtown businesses are seen from closer range than businesses along the larger commercial roads. Customers approach on foot, from nearby parking, from neighboring stores, along Morris Avenue and Stuyvesant Avenue, from mixed-use properties and from local transit.
That gives the storefront several working surfaces:

How It Works
Gogi Signs has served New Jersey businesses since 2005, from a shop in Linden: minutes from Union Township.
01
Quantity and repeatability
We measure the storefront, office, commercial building, or interior area and document existing signs, windows, awnings, entrances, and mounting conditions.
02
Design and Planning
Artwork is fitted to the actual tenant frontage, available sign area, architecture, construction, customer approach, and the district the property sits in.
03
Fabrication and Printing
Approved projects move through fabrication, cutting, large-format printing, vinyl production, finishing, and electrical assembly where applicable.
04
Installation
Our insured installation crew coordinates site access, removes existing signage where included, and installs the completed signs and graphics.
05
Ongoing Service
When a tenant changes, lighting needs repair, window graphics need replacement, or another sign is required, we can return to the property.
Route 22 Corridor
Route 22 properties are seen from moving vehicles and across larger parking areas, which changes how the sign should be designed.
Sign Rules & Permits
The numbers that decide what can be built, and which district they belong to.
For a tenant moving into an existing space this matters more than usual, because the previous sign may have been approved under older conditions. We need the exact address, zoning district, tenant frontage, building façade, existing signage, proposed sign type, dimensions, mounting method and illumination before production. The application is filed by you or your landlord. We assist with permits; we do not file them on your behalf.
Who We Work With
Downtown storefronts, Route 22 commercial property, offices, medical practices and managed multi-tenant buildings.
Nearby service areas: Union City is part of our Hudson County sign company coverage. We also serve nearby businesses through our West New York sign company, North Bergen sign services and Secaucus business signs pages.

Storefront signs, channel letters, dimensional lettering, window graphics, awnings and temporary promotions.

Exterior signs, projecting signs, awnings, window graphics, menu-related graphics and interior identification.

Building signs, directories, reception signs, privacy film for treatment rooms, ADA identification and interior wayfinding.
Professional Offices
The exterior sign gets people to the building. Inside: lobby directories, reception signs, suite signs with replaceable tenant names, privacy graphics and office signage.
Mixed-Use Buildings
Ground-floor tenant signs, building directories, entrance identification, suite signs, ADA signage and interior wayfinding.
Property Managers
The code requires uniform signage, so we create a repeatable system for tenant, directory, parking, leasing, replacement and repair signs.
Shopping Properties
Tenant identification that fits the property standard, replacement faces, window graphics, door lettering and previous-tenant removal.
Contractors and Service Companies
Vehicle lettering, building identification, office signs, decals, banners and commercial graphics.
Tenant Changeover
We survey what is already on the building before quoting a replacement, and check it against the current code, not the one the old sign was approved under.
What you may inherit
A usable cabinet may only need a new face, an awning frame may be recoverable, and a directory may need one listing changed.
What the changeover covers
Anything damaged, outdated or nonconforming comes off rather than staying up beside the new sign.
Repair & Refacing
Union Township has a large inventory of established storefront and commercial signage. Over time lighting fails, letters loosen, sign faces fade, vinyl wears, awning fabric ages, tenant names change and directory listings go out of date.
Gogi Signs repairs and updates commercial signs even when another company originally fabricated them. Common service work includes:
Where the existing structure remains useful, repair or refacing may make more sense than replacement. Where continued repair is no longer practical, we can fabricate new signage.
