South Brunswick, Middlesex County
Gogi Signs makes building signs, warehouse and wayfinding signs and storefront signs for South Brunswick, including Monmouth Junction, Kendall Park and Dayton. We prepare a separate permit package for each sign, with the sealed drawings the township asks for, and install with our own crew.
Building and tenant signs
Flat aluminum panels for offices and industrial units.
Permits Here Are Per Sign
South Brunswick asks for one application for every sign, each with two copies of its drawings and a $60 fee. A building with two wall signs and a door sign is three applications.
1
The form asks for the mailing town, such as Monmouth Junction, Kendall Park or Dayton, not South Brunswick.
2
Wall sign elevations with every dimension and the percentage of the wall, signed and sealed by a New Jersey licensed design professional.
3
The sign located on the site with its setback from the property line and the road centerline.
4
If the Planning Board or Zoning Board approved the site, the file number and resolution go with the application.
Warehouses and Offices
South Brunswick has a lot of office and industrial space along Route 1 and off Route 130, where drivers, visitors and employees all need to find a different door. A good sign package shows the building name and address where drivers can read it from the road. Then it guides trucks to the docks and visitors to the main entrance.
One scope note. We do not offer pylon or monument signs. Larger South Brunswick properties are made identifiable with wall mounted building signs, channel letters, dimensional lettering, entrance graphics, directional signs and window graphics instead.
We make exterior building letters, dock door numbers, traffic and parking signs, interior wayfinding and egress maps. The application names the installer on the record, and for our jobs that is our own licensed and insured crew.
A Typical Package
Letters or a panel on the facade, sized as a percentage of the wall.
Directions from the drive to the docks, visitor parking and the main entrance.
Big, high contrast numbers for drivers backing in.
Reception walls, directories and room signs.
Opening Soon
A new business can put up one temporary grand opening sign, but the window is short.
In the industrial, office, research, commercial and professional office districts, one grand opening sign is allowed for up to 30 days within the first four months after the certificate of occupancy. A ground sign may be up to 32 square feet and 6 feet tall, a wall sign up to 100 square feet. It needs its own zoning permit with start and end dates, so we prepare its drawings alongside the permanent signs.

Include the address, the postal town, photos of the building and a list of the signs you think you need. We will confirm what needs a permit and send a quote for the whole package.
South Brunswick is in Middlesex County. The township does not publish its land use ordinance on a public code site, so the points below come from its own Sign Permit Application.

Fabrication time depends on the sign, but the variable that usually moves the date most is municipal approval. A flat panel or vinyl job can move quickly. An illuminated sign that needs permits and an electrical inspection takes longer. We give a schedule after the survey, once we know which approvals apply.
Storefront and building signage, channel letters, illuminated cabinets, interior and ADA signage, wayfinding, window and wall graphics, and vehicle graphics. If you are not sure which suits the site, the survey usually settles it.
Often yes, when the cabinet's structure, size, location and electrical condition are still sound. Replacing a face can still count as new signage under some ordinances, so we check whether the existing sign conforms before quoting a reface.
Regularly. Lease sign criteria are often stricter than the town's rules, and both have to be cleared, so we read the criteria alongside the ordinance before a design is finalized.
