A standoff sign is a panel that floats off the wall on metal standoffs. It gives a logo, a room name or a directory real depth without a bulky frame. We cut, print, layer and install standoff signs in clear, frosted and colored acrylic or brushed metal for offices, lobbies and buildings across New Jersey. We also install in the five boroughs; see our NYC service area.

Standoff signs sit between flat wall graphics and full raised letters. You get depth and a finished look, with one panel instead of dozens of letters.
The panel is held a short distance off the wall by metal standoffs, usually one at each corner. That small gap throws a shadow and makes the sign feel built in. Clear acrylic lets the wall color show through, frosted acrylic makes the copy pop, and metal panels look architectural.

You see the hardware, so we pick it like a finish, not an afterthought.

Straight answers to what New Jersey businesses ask about standoff signs.
A flat panel, usually acrylic or metal, held a short distance off the wall by metal standoffs. The gap adds depth and a shadow, so the sign looks finished and built in.
A standoff sign is one panel, so it is quicker to install, needs fewer holes and is easier to move. Dimensional letters have no panel and look more built into the wall. Many lobbies use letters for the logo and standoff panels for room and directory signs.
Acrylic standoff panels are commonly 1/8 to 1/2 inch thick. Bigger panels and raised layers usually use the thicker sheet.
Yes. We match the anchors to the wall: drywall, brick, block, tile, stone or wood. On glass walls we can use adhesive standoff mounts or a backer panel.
Yes, with the right panel and hardware, like an address sign by a door. Outside signs in New Jersey may need town approval, so we check before we build.
Usually just one small hole per standoff. If the sign comes down, those holes get patched and painted.
It depends on the panel size, material, printing or raised layers, the hardware and how many signs you need. Send your logo, a wall photo and a rough size for a price.
